Tuesday Drop-In Program
News from the NOHO Home Alliance Tuesday Drop-In Program
Things are going well with the Tuesday Morning Drop-In Program. We’re consistently serving 40+ guests each week from 8:30-11:30am.
We provide our unhoused guests with breakfast (oatmeal and cereal), a hot meal, and a sack lunch for later. We also have coffee, hot water for tea, iced water, and Gatorade available throughout the morning. Our clothing closet assists our guests with clothing and hygiene supplies they may need. NHHA offers resources for social services for our guests.
If you would like to assist with the program, here is what we can use:
Clothing items that are clean and gently used.
Men’s underwear—all sizes—preferably cotton boxer briefs.
Desserts for up to 50 lunches—cookies, bars, finger-type. Please let us know so we can include your donation in the menu plan.
Coffee mugs (we don’t use paper or Styrofoam cups). Please, no large mugs—cups like we use on Sunday at church are perfect.
Metal dinner forks—we no longer use disposable plastic utensils and could use more forks.
What we don’t need are items we cannot share with our unhoused guests:
Worn-out or soiled clothing and shoes
Plastic take-out containers. We can’t use them for our guests. Please dispose of or recycle them appropriately.
