The Choir
Make a joyful noise with us! Our dynamic choir welcomes everyone who loves to sing. We are an enthusiastic group of people who are passionate about making great music. Come give us a try!
Between September and June, we rehearse Sundays at 9am before the service and Tuesdays or Wednesdays at 7pm. The ability to read music is a plus but is not necessary.

Rehearsal: Tuesday, September 19, 7 - 9pm, UUCSC Sanctuary
The UU Studio City Choir is back in action. After the summer break we are feeling rested and eager to commence preparations for the season. We have an ambitious season planned and are welcoming all new members. For information about rehearsals and performances, please reach out to John at jbergquist@uustudiocity.org.
Save the date! Our Fall Showcase will be on November 4th at 7pm in the Sanctuary.

I'm looking forward to getting our season off to a great start at our second rehearsal this week, Wednesday, September 13th at 7pm. Please plan to enter the building using the door next to the office, located at the western end of the front of the building, and please plan to arrive between 6:50 and 6:55pm. We will have some start of season housekeeping to attend to, and plan to sing at service the very next Sunday, so I will ask that everyone plan to stay until 9pm.
We will go into greater detail in person, but for now I'll just say that I am really excited, this will be the most ambitious season I have planned since starting at UUCSC. We are planning on a Fall Showcase, the first MLK UU Choir Festival since 2019, and a spring concert, all in addition to our regular contribution to Sunday worship. I can't wait to get to work with you all.
I will offer a sneak peak at the programming I have started working on for our season, and I would like to invite anyone in the choir who is interested to let me know if there are old favorites that they would love to see come back this year. I would love to hear which pieces of music would help to make this a really enjoyable season for everyone. Here is a link to my current programming.
